With over 30 year of experience in this field, I take immense pride in providing tax compliance, tax advisory and consulting services to local and multinational clients. I advise clients on optimal tax structuring and seek ways to resolve complex tax issues that are continually evolving within the tax arena.

My area of expertise includes applying and obtaining tax incentives and rulings, international tax planning, structuring of cross border transactions, and tax optimisation to reduce group tax costs as well as GST advisory and ASK reviews. I perform detailed analysis to review multinational group operations to minimise group effective tax cost vide maximising the utilisation of tax depreciation, group losses, debt push down strategies, minimising interest restriction and streamlining operations. I assist clients to perform tax due diligence on acquisitions. I have obtained numerous favourable rulings for my clients from the tax authorities.

As a committee member of the Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals SME-Sub Tax Committee, I hold regular dialogues with the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore to raise any concerns or issues faced by the small and medium-sized tax practitioners.

At AGN regional and world conferences, I share my tax knowledge and update members on the changes that have been affecting the tax professionals and businesses globally by facilitating discussion amongst members at technical break-out sessions. I participate in various panel discussions and dialogs to keep abreast with both local and international tax developments.

I am the voice of the taxpayers – the man in the street – by understanding problems that they face and to effectively manage and resolve them by interfacing between them and the tax authorities.

Tax. It is dynamic and exciting. Tax is a subject that never stops evolving. Tax regulations are invariably evolving. I can confidently say that the learning has never stopped for me, even after being in this field for many years!  I enjoy getting to know my clients and building long-lasting relationships with them. My clients tell me that I am direct and clear with my advice and I am there for them as they are there for me. Also, this field has allowed me to become an industry leader and an advisor trusted by many.

When i am not working, I will be ……
Walking daily, after work to unwind and get a dose of nature. Regardless of how difficult the day has been, it makes me feel grounded and rejuvenated! I also enjoy swimming which is perfect to cool off in our tropical hot weather. I also look forward to my sitar lessons over my weekends.
