Specialisations and Industries
I started my audit career in Malaysia with a medium-sized audit firm. After a few years, I decided to venture out of Malaysia to gain greater exposure, and joined one of the big four accounting firms in Singapore.
During my tenure with the international accounting firm, I was given the opportunity to take on various assignments from diverse industries, doing internal audits to due diligence projects to initial public offering exercises and statutory audit.
I find inspiration when……
Everyone works together with a united heart. I strongly believe in teams, and it’s the people you work with that give purpose and worth to the job. More can be achieved when we stand together. Though things may not go smoothly always, and challenges come along the way, one must stay bright and focus on the positive.
I am passionate about ……
How my two separate experiences in both Accounts and Audit as two-sides of the coin can provide greater insights and advice to clients. My last role as a statutory auditor means that I always need to make a stand and view matters from a regulatory perspective. Now that I am in the Accounts Division, I stand on the opposite side of the fence. My unique experience helps me to value-add to my clients’ businesses with a more well-rounded approach. As a mentor and in-house trainer of junior co-workers, i take pride seeing them eventually advance to a higher level and become better professionally and personally.
When i am not working, I will be ……
Family time is precious to me so I make it a point to set time aside to spend with my family, especially planning for annual holidays overseas. To avoid being seen as “square and dry”, I spend my weekends applying my skills and making small yet constant improvements in home aesthetics; decorating with floral arrangements and art designs.
